If you are interested in becoming a member of the Scarsdale Congregational Church, our ministers welcome the opportunity to talk with you about this. Also, watch our News and Events page for an announcement of an upcoming “Inquirers’ Session.” The Inquirers’ Session will give you a chance to have your questions answered. In addition, youngsters interested in joining the church may do so after participating in Confirmation Class during the eighth grade.
New members enter into the Covenant Relationship at a service of worship. In the course of the ceremony for the reception of new members, the minister asks the members of the church who are present to rise and covenant together with the incoming members.
Members of the church attend our worship services, participate in the work of the church, contribute to its support and strive to make the covenant a significant influence in their daily lives.
