Reverend Frances Wise Grenley holds a B.A. from Vassar College, an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School, and an M.S.W. from Columbia University School of Social Work. She also studied at Union Theological Seminary in preparation for her call to ordained ministry. Fran has considerable experience in the field of clinical social work, both locally and internationally, and has been active in a number of community service organizations. After years of service as a lay minister for both the Scarsdale Congregational Church and Grace Memorial Chapel on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Fran was ordained by the UCC Metropolitan Association on December 10, 2006. Fran lives in Scarsdale with her husband Neal Grenley and has three daughters.
Music Director and Organist: Brett A. Terry
Brett Austin Terry, prior to being engaged here at the Church in August 2010, was a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, where he was the Director of Music and Organist at Southminster Presbyterian and Grace Episcopal churches and attended the Conservatory of Music and Dance, graduating summa cum laude with degrees in organ and voice. While there, Brett served the KCAGO chapter as Chairman of the Youth Committee as well as President and Vice-President of the American Choral Director’s Association’s local chapter. He is an active member of both organizations. His highly praised performances include concert and recital work as an orchestral and choral conductor, organist, pianist, harpsichordist, cellist, and vocalist; he has made music in some of the great venues of the country. In addition to his solo performances, Brett is a highly sought-after collaborative musician. He frequently appears in collaborative concerts and recitals throughout the country. Brett is currently working toward both a Master's of Music in Organ Performance at the School of Music at Yale University and the Diploma of Sacred Music at the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale.
Director of Christian Education: Larissa Romero
Larissa is a recent graduate of Union Theological Seminary in New York, where she was awarded a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministry and Theology. Prior to that she attended Bryn Mawr where she earned her A.B. degree in Anthropology. She has begun the ordination process within the Reformed Church of America, at the end of which she hopes to receive a call that will allow her to work as an advocate for women and other social justice issues. Larissa has recently been serving as a Ministry Associate at the Greenpoint Reformed Church in Brooklyn. Along with joining our church, this fall Larissa is beginning another part-time job helping coordinate community service activities in New York City.
Larissa grew up in New Jersey and currently lives in Manhattan.
