Reverend Fran Grenley is our part-time Associate Minister. She leads the Youth Action Committee; a group of teens, mostly graduates of our church school and confirmation class, that gather periodically to perform community service and Christian Outreach activities. She also handles much of the pastoral visitation and counseling needs of our congregation, and helps advise our church committees when they need the advice of a minister. In particular Fran works with the Christian Education committee, and Rev. Liz Junod, planning the church school curriculum and music program. Fran holds a Masters degree in theological studies from
Harvard University, as well as a degree in social work. She has also
studied at Union Theological Seminary, in preparation for her call to
ordained ministry. She has considerable experience in the field of
social work both locally and internationally, as well as being active
in a number of community service organizations. Fran was ordained by
the UCC Metropolitan Association on December 10th, 2006; after years of
service as a lay minister for both the Scarsdale Congregational Church,
and another congregational church on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Fran lives in Scarsdale with her husband Neal Grenley, and has three daughters. |
