Rev. Sally E. Norris, Interim Minister of Christian Education and Families

Who's Who

Rev. Sally E. Norris is Interim Minister of Christian Education and Families. She is primarily responsible for leading the pre-K through 7th grade church school program and ministering to families with young children.

Most recently, Rev. Norris has been on academic sabbatical at the University of Oxford in England working on her doctorate in theology. During her time there, she served as Junior Dean of the Queen's college abd Liturgy Assistant at Christ Church Chapel, and as a frequent guest preacher at St. Columba's United Reformed Church. Sally was ordained as a minister by the United Church of Christ in 1989, and has since served in a range of ministerial and academic positions, including a lengthy tenure at The Riverside Church in New York City.  

Rev. Norris holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Linguistics from Columbia University, master's in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, and is expecting to receive her doctorate from Oxford in 2008.
