 Our Church is open to all. We
welcome diversity. Indeed, we come from many backgrounds - Protestants
(all sorts), Catholic, Jewish and the
proverbial "other." We rejoice in being a place where that is possible.
Our congregation was founded in 1895 as the Arthur Manor Union Sunday School Association, subsequently organized as a branch of the White Plains Congregational Church. In 1924, the congregation voted to form the Scarsdale Congregational Church as an independent church. In 1961 we became a member of the United Church of Christ. We celebrated our 75th annivesary year in 1999 with recollections of our vibrant past, recorded here - a past which informs and invigorates an even more vibrant present and future. We invite you to participate in our present and our future in whatever way you wish, to whatever extent you wish. You are warmly welcomed. Please come in! |
