"Souper Bowl Sunday" is a national program devoted to fighting hunger. On the Sunday of the Super Bowl, the youth of our church - traditionally, members of the Confirmation Class - participate in this effort by asking the congregation for donations of cash, which are collected in large soup pots. We then give these funds to a local food source, the Ecumenical Emergency Food Pantry of White Plains, and the amount is reported to the nationalal organization which coordinates this drive.

On the Saturday of this same week-end, our high school students participate in the "Super Bowl Saturday Service Blitz," making their own contribution to the fight against hunger by cooking food in the church kitchen and donating it to a shelter in White Plains. The events of this week-end are great examples of how the youth of our church show leadership in caring for those in need in our community.
