How to Drop Off Material for Re-Sale

Our Governance, How To..

Donations for our FAIR, Clothing Sale and Garage Sale are appreciated. The church manages to sell an amazing variety of stuff at our sales but the volunteers simply cannot manage carloads of stuff dumped in the stairwell of the office building. Neither can we manage 125 lb. rolls of carpet padding. Some things we can sell. Other things we can not. Please contact the church office before you donate - by phone at 914-723-2111 or by e-mail at office@scc-ucc.org. Someone can meet you at a scheduled time and show you where to put the items you'd like to donate.

As a rule of thumb, this is where the church keeps stuff:

FURNITURE - Garage behind the church office

[Call Lennons to arrange ahead of time]

ELECTRICAL - Contact Jesse Wang - Basement of the Church Office

HOUSEHOLD GOODS - Basement of the Church Office

SPORTING GOODS - Porch of the Church Office

BOOKS, RECORDS, TAPES - Parish House, room to the right of the stage as you face the stage

CLOTHING, LINENS, FABRIC - Parish House, lower floor, left of the Nursery School

ART, SCULPTURE, TOYS - Parish House attic

JEWELRY, CHRISTMAS ITEMS - Church Office

COMPUTERS/EQUIPMENT - Contact Geoff Parker - Basement of the Church Office

"REALLY GOOD STUFF" - Give to the booth chair or someone in the office for safekeeping

Large sporting good items like stairmasters, stationary bikes, etc. require an advance call because our storage is limited and these items are hard for the volunteers to manage. Anything else should be checked before bringing.

Please Do Not Leave Items
In the Stairwell of the Office Building That:

*Weigh more than 10 pounds,
*Are bigger than a file box, or
*Contain items that could be damaged by the rain

Any donations outside these parameters need be arranged with the individual(s) responsible for selling them at the FAIR, or call the office for advice.

What Not to Donate

For a variety of safety, sanitary or regulatory reasons, we can't accept:

We do not have the volunteer staff to clean or fix baby equipment.

If an item is donated in pieces, make sure that all pieces are accounted for and please describe how to put the item together.

Thanks in advance!
