Making Sales Happen

Our Governance, Helping

Jesse Wang setting up electronics

Think for a moment what it takes to make a "sale" happen at the Scarsdale Congregational Church. Tinka Marsh reported and photographed this reminder - set at the Family Fair 2000, but equally applicable to a garage sale, auction, clothing sale or other special opportunity to buy.

You are welcome, ye urged, to help in any way you can. Just call the church office at 914-723-2111 or e-mail them at office@scc-ucc.org to say, I can help! Any time you are available - morning, noon or night - there is work for you!

Here Jesse Wang tests equipment for the electrical booth. Even if you can't fix the problem, you can test to see if it meets Jesse's high standards. Jaye and Jake Freyer

You can bring along your children, as Jaye Freyer does here, with her son Jake. Children can help, or they can do their homework in a quiet corner.

The hand crafts group for the Family Fair and Holiday Tea begins working in the summer. Furniture collection is ongoing as are art and book collecting. Here is where you can drop of your donatations. Mitzie Wang preparing

Every donation must be reviewed and priced, as demonstrated here by "Elephant Expert" Mitzie Wang.

Fun and fellowship are part of every sale preparation. You can meet new people, renew acquaintances, do something interesting and worthwhile with family members. Please keep these opportunities in mind throughout the year. Notices appear on this web site and in our Bulletin Newsletter to remind you of special needs.
